Montauk Armchair
Montauk has historically been a sleepy fishing village on the tip of Long Island, New York. With its pristine beaches, iconic lighthouses and rugged landscape, Montauk is often referred to by locals as “The End”. This area has long been an inviting scene for both artists and creatives from Andy Warhol’s oceanfront compound and estate in the 1970s to musicians like Paul Simon and fashion designers like Ralph Lauren. Montauk décor is closely related to Hamptons style, but with a slightly edgier, earthier palette. Made with natural rope, the unique weave of the Montauk is somewhat symbolic of an old fishing basket. A beautiful piece to compliment any natural materials used in your interior space for an earthy rustic feel.
