Made for Riva, Rose Bay.

Perched above Rose Bay Marina, Riva takes its cues from the timeless elegance of the Italian Riviera and the iconic Riva yacht.

When Perry spoke to us about the furniture for the venue, it was important that the chairs felt like they belonged to that story.

Working closely with Perry and designer Ella, we developed the Riva dining chairs specifically for Riva. The warm frame, woven pattern, custom colours and upholstery were all considered together to create something with a sense of nostalgia and character, while still feeling relaxed enough for dining by the water.

A chair designed not just for a restaurant, but for this particular place.

Taking the Detail Outdoors

For Riva's outdoor dining area, we wanted to create a chair that had its own personality while still feeling connected to the interior.

Working again with Perry and Ella, we developed these chairs specifically for the outdoor space. The lighter frame, custom woven back and contrasting seat colour were all selected to work with the restaurant's palette and its incredible Rose Bay setting.

The woven detail was an important part of the design. We worked through the colours and pattern to create something distinctive for Riva rather than using a standard outdoor chair.

As with the indoor chairs, these were manufactured specifically for the project from start to finish, with the details developed closely between us, Perry and Ella.

Seeing them in place overlooking the water is exactly what custom furniture is about for us. The chair doesn't just need to look beautiful on its own. It needs to feel like it was always meant to be there.
