Brown Wash

Our Brown Wash is a hand-finished technique that creates depth, warmth and character in every piece. A rich brown stain is applied before a black wash is carefully hand rubbed across the surface and gently washed back, allowing the warm brown tones to emerge while leaving subtle darker accents within the grain, joins and natural texture of the timber.

The remaining black wash creates soft shadowing that highlights the craftsmanship and brings out the rattan's natural detail, resulting in a beautifully aged, layered finish. As each piece is individually hand finished, variations in colour, shading and character are to be expected, making every item truly one of a kind.
